It's a worm screw, so it's entirely normal for it to turn indefinitely.
That being said, it's easy to tell when you're at the maximum or minimum point. Place your ear against the power box while turning the screw. Once you've reached the maximum or minimum, you'll hear a "click" with every additional turn over the maximum or under the minimum (sometimes difficult to hear). These extra turns don't count. The total number of turns between the minimum and maximum is 25. If you don't hear the "click," just count the turns. To reset the unit to its factory setting, turn the screw 25 times counterclockwise to ensure it's at the minimum, then 5 times clockwise. You can see the video by clicking HERE.
